This painting is a contrast between old and new while bringing in bits of Manchester. The sign on the building say "Hello" (Deansgate Square towers) in almost looking down on the old pub, almost sniggering, saying that it will be pulled down soon. The pub said "The Britons Protection".
The man outside the pub shows a modern day person, looking down as his mobile phone as he exits the pub wondering where his friends are. The other man, vaping outside as shows this.
The sky is painted whites and greys to depict a typical Manchester day. The man walking the dog is wearing typical Manchester clothing a raincoat and his hood up.
